What is the reason behind your crèche's name?

An eagle can always fly high over all clouds and storms and God protects His nest from dangers.

What are you grateful for about your crèche?

I'm grateful for God’s hand on my ECD Centre. He blessed me with a house in 2008, but I didn't understand why in Delft? In 2012 I had a dream wherein a man in white told me that it's time to open a crèche and so, on 15 Jan. 2014 I started Young Eagles Nest Educare. God blessed the crèche in that same month with everything I needed to start an ECD Centre.

I'm also grateful for the chance to be trained by AmazingBrainz and currently I'm using their excellent curriculum at my crèche. By using this, the children have the opportunity to receive whole brain development so that they are school ready by the age of 6.

We are still open after 8 years and God continues to send new kids to this safe haven for children whose parents are at work. I'm grateful to be a blessing to our community in giving love to and building a brighter future for the next generation. It gives me great pleasure.

What are the most important needs/prayer requests regarding your crèche right now?

Thank God:

  • that we now have 43 children at the crèche.
  • that I could give one of my teachers a salary increase from end of April.
  • for protecting the crèche.
  • that my crèche was chosen by the municipality as one of a few crèches in my community to get help with registration at the Dept. of Basic Education and with the building plan.
  • for still providing, through a donor, a part of the non-perishable food that we need for the children’s daily meals.

Please pray:

  • that even more children will be enrolled at my crèche. We can accommodate 14 more children.
  • that the problem with the building plan that needs to get approval, will be solved via the above-mentioned help from the municipality.
  • for funds for a fence for one corner of the property where the crèche is located so that it is safer and that I can start a small vegetable garden on it.
  • for discernment to know whether I must keep my crèche registered as an NPO or if I must move the registration to be a POC (Private Owned Company).

Parent Feedback

  • When my child started going to Young Eagles Nest Educare, she couldn’t speak or read, but after a month there, I am so proud that she can now sing, pray before eating and play with other kids at home. She can also now count on her own and the communication between me and my child has even improved.
  • Young Eagles Nest Educare is really helping my child developing her communication skills. They take very good care of my child in terms of the meals they feed her. The staff are always concerned with every learner’s development.
  • Young Eagles Nest Educare has made a very big impact on my child. He can now do things on his own with the help of this crèche. He can pronounce words very well and is also well behaved when it comes to discipline.
