Toolkits for Crèches

AmazingBrainz has a “toolkit” they developed that forms a crucial part of their learning programme and that gets used daily as part of the learning process in the class. The “toolkit” contains various educational toys that are used and applied in different learning activities (multi-purpose). These activities are developed and adapted to bring their learning programme over the year alive and make learning accessible and joyful for small children. The content of “toolkit” is well thought through to enhance learning but also to last in order to serve many children year after year as the items are practical and hardy. In December 2021 we have started with a new group of 80 educators from 20 Delft ECD schools.

This “toolkit” is an incredible investment into a community if placed into the hands of an AmazingBrainz trained educator. With this we want to invite you to sponsor a “toolkit” or make a donation towards such a toolkit(s). The cost per toolkit is R3 800 per teacher.

Principal Camp 2020

27 -29 November 2020 the Principals of the 17 creches we currently support with ECD training in Delft were invited to join Shofar Christian Church Durbanville on a camp near Tulbagh. The reason behind this was to celebrate these wonderful ladies and share in the goodness and love of God after a challenging 2020. It kicked of with a lovely experience with horses with Sucelle Erasmus from Unlocking You.
Friday afternoon after some lunch and “kuier” at the Shofar Durbanville office everyone went to the campsite.
Mike Moerdyk leaded the weekend with so much wisdom and love for these ladies. Everyone came back tired but refreshed, because nobody wanted to miss out on anything!
After a wonderful weekend we are once again reminded that God makes a way and He has a plan for these wonderful people in Delft. We are honoured and blessed to be part of a project like this.

Micro MBA 2020

Amazing Brainz Training

July 2018 we embarked on a journey to reach and serve the children of Delft, Cape Town through curriculum training of ECD principals and educators provided by Amazing Brainz.

With our first round, we worked with 18 schools and 76 educators. The first group has finished their training and their schools are flourishing after the journey of more than two years with Amazing Brainz. We have already begun training our second group in Delft and our hope is to take 80 more educators through the curriculum training.

Our vision is the following:

For the future of the children: To provide a strong academic foundation for preschool children in Delft through curriculum training presented to principals and educators at established ECD centres and so better prepare the children in their care for success at school and ultimately to build stronger careers as adults.
To support the building of sustainable quality businesses: To assist ECD centres to provide quality education and to assist and guide in the process of registration at The Department of Social Development in order for the ECD centres to receive the social grant from government with which they can subsidize their school and maintain their infrastructure and so build a sustainable business without over populating their centres and compromising of quality education.
